Riley Had Eyes On Davis For Some Time
In the SOUTH FLORIDASUN-SENTINEL, Michael Cunningham writes “Pat Riley said the Heat triedto pry Davis from rebuilding Minnesota for six weeks until finallydoing so Wednesday. The Heat got Davis and veteran center Mark Blountfor Walker, Michael Doleac, Wayne Simien, a conditional first-rounddraft pick and $500,000. ‘The procuring of a perimeter player who couldscore, who could shoot and had experience as a starter transcended allother needs, and that's why we did it,’ Riley said.”
