When we were young, we expected our birthdays coming. Our parents will buy birthday cakes with colorful candles on them. We blew off the candle light and make our wishes. Sweet.....!!!

Now we're growing older. Our parents are getting older too. They still clearly remember our birthdays and though they won't buy birthdays cakes for us anymore, they would call us if we're far away from home or cook delicious food and wait for us to join a nice family gathering.

But do we remember our parents' birthdays? What have we done for them on this special day? Could we do something to make them feel sweet?

Today is my mother's birthday. I will invite her, my father and other family members to a nice restaurant for dinner. I beleve she'll be very happy because all family members will sit in front of her and wish her an healthy, happy 2009. It's not the dinner but the delightful atmosphere that counts.

i remember both my mom and my dad's birthday. whereas what a pity it is that when their birthday comes i am by their side.

I totally support the topic. I'm the person who has strange memory ability. Coz it's easily for me to forget things which happen just mins ago but i can tell something happened years ago by details.

I always keep my mom's birthday in my mind but not dad's. I grew up with mom and kept apart from dad until i started work moving here.

Last year, i bought mom a electric vertebra massager and many little stuffs about hardening the body as her birthday presents. And for the first time, i bought my birthday present—a wallet to dad. It's said that he didn't use wallet (he always keeps money just in his pockets), but i saw the wallet was taken with him last time when we were together.

He looks happy and i'm happy as well =)
