one question to zf: Can u recognize the lyrics of the Chinese songs sung by 周杰伦? |
If your answer is "No" then why do u bother yourself to understand the lyrics of many English songs? |
i prefer english songs to chinese songs~~ |

Actually I never focus on the lyric of the song--English songs and Chinese songs. I just enjoy the melody. |
omg,la da , cant you fall asleep? you are soooooooooooooooo early |
lousy,I began to listen to english songs from my Senior Middle school I am really from a very backward village. when in Junior middle school,my beloved english teacher taught us to sing:A B C and GOOD MORNING..in the textbook only. when n senior middle school,I began to listen to english song from crazy english tape,I recognized it did do good for us to correct my pronunciation and listening,so many links in the songs..really amazing..but now my listening and oral are still not good.. |
many thanks for all the replies. i think i began to listen english songs quite early, about 12 years old. but i was just like david, only enjoy the melody and pay no attention to the lyrics at all. recently, i share a mini bus in the morning to go to work, and i am forced to listen english songs most of the journey time, and i realized that catching lyrics are much harder than catching everyday conversation. To calmsky:so far i have not been forced to listen the Chinese songs sung by 周杰伦, but frankly speaking i dunt like it. do u mean we do not need to recognize songs which are sung at abnormally fast speed? |
To zf, it seems that I always like what you dunt like.[1_42] |
Although I never trained myself for listening to movies and songs, I believe listening to them while reading the subtitles and lyrics could be a lot helpful. It helps you understand how people use words in movies and songs. Then when you get used to the format, you'll be able to better understand them in the future. |
actually words used in lyrics are every simple~~ |
