中国版"苏珊大妈"朱之文

　　“My advice to those who dare to dream is that don't give up. If I can do it, anyone else can too,” a quote from Susan Boyle. The plain-looking 48-year-old became an overnight hit after she appeared as a contestant on reality TV programme Britain's Got Talent on 11 April 2009, singing "I Dreamed a Dream" from Elaine Paige.

　　“对于那些敢于做梦的人，我的建议是不要放弃。如果我能做得到，其他任何人也能做得到，”苏珊大妈曾经这样说道。2009年4月11日，48岁的相貌平凡的苏珊大妈以参赛者的身份走上英国电视选秀节目《英国达人》的舞台，凭借翻唱伊莲-佩姬的《我曾有梦》一夜成名。

　　And now, it seems that everyone in China knows the story of Zhu Zhiwen's sudden rise to fame. Known as “Chinese Susan Boyle”, Zhu Zhiwen is a traditional Chinese peasant from Shandong.

　　现在，似乎每个中国人都知道朱之文一举成名的故事。来自山东的典型的中国农民朱之文被大家称为中国版“苏珊大妈”。

　　The 42-year-old grass roots superstar from Heze City in Shandong Province appeared on Shandong TV's talent show “I Am A Big Star” early this year. He walked out onto the stage dressed in a shabby army overcoat; his humble, unpolished, middle-aged farmer-like appearance was mocked by both the audience and judges alike.

　　这名来自山东菏泽的草根明星现年42岁，今年年初他参加了山东电视台综艺节目《我是大明星》。他穿着一件破旧的军大衣走上舞台，他谦卑、不修边幅的典型中年农民的外表被观众和评委嘲笑。

　　Then, however, he began to sing the theme song of the TV drama "Romance of Three Kingdoms". And everything changed. The power in his voice and his interpretation of the song is without precedent. He got a standing ovation from the audience!

　　但当他唱起电视剧《三国演义》的主题歌时，一切都变了。他声音中所传达出的力量和他对这首歌的演绎可以说是无以伦比。现场的观众都起立为他鼓掌！

　　Zhu Zhiwen is a glorious talent. He is not singing for money or fame; as he says, he is singing for ordinary people in China. His fans love his sense of humor and his honest personality. His story is not over; his journey towards greater places just began.
