China's factory slowdown has reversed.

HSBC's preliminary purchasing managers' index for June indicated business in the world's workshop is expanding again, after five straight months of contraction.

汇丰银行(HSBC)6月份“预览版”采购经理人指数(PMI)表明，在连续5个月收缩之后，中国这个世界工厂的制造业再次进入扩张阶段。

The "flash" version of the index, which is compiled from answers by factory managers on topics such as the level of new business, rose to a reading of 50.8 in June, from 49.4 in May and beating economists' forecasts that the gauge would continue showing a slowdown.

该“预览版”指数通过对工厂经理人的调查结果编制而成，这些经理人被问及新开工业务规模等问题。6月份该指数从5月份的49.4上升至50.8，打破了经济学家预期，他们原本认为这一指数会继续停留在收缩区间内。

A level above 50 in this index shows expansion.

该指数高于50，则表示所调查产业处于扩张之中。

If the reading is confirmed in the final survey, this would indicate the Chinese economy has stabilised after the government introduced yet more economic stimulus measures and loosened the money supply.

如果该指数在最终版中得到确认，将表明在中国政府引入更多经济刺激措施并放宽货币供应之后，中国经济已经企稳。

Separate data published earlier in June appeared to confirm this trend, with the latest retail sales figures rising more than expected.

6月早些时候发布的零售数据增幅超过预期，似乎也确认了这一趋势。

The Hang Seng Index shot up 0.7 per cent just after the results. The Australian dollar immediately jumped 0.3 per cent to 94.15 US cents.
