There's no difference between singular and plural in Chinese. Many Chinese English learners try to speak or write, and tend to forget to make nouns plural, resulting in awkward-sounding phrases like “there are three dog”. It’s all subconscious, but now that it's been pointed out, you have to be more careful with the plural forms of nouns in English, especially the ones which require more than an “s” or “es” to be plural.
