One semester when my brother, Peter, attended  the University of Minnesota, an art-student friend of his asked if he could paint Peter’s portrait for a class assignment .Peter agreed, and the art-student painted and submitted  the portrait. Only receive a C minus.

The art-student approached the professor to ask why the grade was so poor .The professor told him that proportions in the painting were incorrect. “The head is too big,” The professor explained, “the shoulders are too wide, and the feet are enormous .”

The next day, the art-student brought Peter to see the professor. He took one look at my brother. “Okay, A minus,” he said.

我的兄弟彼得就读于明尼苏达大学。有一学期，彼得的一个就读于美术系的朋友问他是否可以画一幅他的肖像作为作业。彼得同意了，于是那个美术系的学生画了他的肖像并交了上去，结果得了一个C减。

那个学生找到教授问他的成绩为什么这么差。教授告诉他说肖像画得比例不对。“头太大，”教授解释道，“肩部太宽，而且双脚过大。”

第二天，那个美术系的学生带着彼得去见教授。教授看了一眼我兄弟，说：“好吧，A减”
