今年9月23日是“秋分”，也是第二个“中国农民丰收节”。全国各地欢庆这一节日反映了党中央确保农业繁荣、农村美丽、农民富足的决心。

The second Chinese Farmers' Harvest Festival falls on Sept. 23, the Autumnal Equinox of this year. Celebration around the country reflects the central government's determination to see a thriving agricultural industry, beautiful countryside and well-off farmers.

农民是中国人口的最大多数，是中国共产党执政的基础，广大农民在革命、建设、改革等各个历史时期都做出了重大贡献。习近平总书记强调，任何时候都不能忽视农业、忘记农民、淡漠农村。中央决定，在脱贫攻坚的关键时期、全面建成小康社会的决胜阶段、实施乡村振兴战略的开局之年，设立“中国农民丰收节”，顺应了新时代的新要求、新期待，将极大调动起亿万农民的积极性、主动性、创造性，提升亿万农民的荣誉感、幸福感、获得感，汇聚起脱贫攻坚、全面建成小康社会、实施乡村振兴战略，加快推进农业农村现代化的磅礴力量。

With a solid foundation laid by agriculture, we have full confidence in development.
