You are in an empty room and you have a cup of water. The cup is a right cylinder, and it looks like it's half full, but you're not sure. How can you accurately figure out whether the cup is half full, more than half full, or less than half full? You have no rulers or writing utensils.

interesting. lean the cup and see the water's edge , if water's edge is on the cup opening's edge but another side not on the bottom's edge ,it will be known that the water is more than half full.if water's edge are even on the opening's edge and bottom's edge, it's half full. otherwise , it's less than half full.

IceWolf, Could you use camouflage color on your answer like how I did on the answers to 3 hats? Let others have a chance to do the riddle too. [em04]

ps: 1:the policeman and the robber went together at first time, then the policeman came back and got one of the sons to the other bank. 2: the policeman and the robber came back after the policeman got one son to the bank but they stayed and let the father and his other son crossed the river . 3: the father came back and reached the mother . 4: the mother came back and gave the boat to the policman and the rober while lefting the father stayed with the two sons 5: then the father came back again and reached his wife again 6: the mother came back and reached one of her daughter. 7: the policeman and the robber came back and reached the second daughter 8: the policeman came back and reached the robber at last time ( but I think the robber would escape before the policeman came back and reached him)

Well,i give your a riddle back ,maybe it's difficult to you. There are 8 persons want to go across a river,they are 1 policeman ,1 robber,2 parents ,2 sons and 2 daughters. but there is only 1 boat in the river ,the boat only can carry 2 persons each time and only the parents and the policeman can drive the boat ,the boat can't move by itself.how these 8 persons can go across this river and below conditions will not happen? 1.if the policeman not stay with the robber , robber will kill all the families. 2.the fathter will hurt his daughters if mother not here. 3.the mother will hurt her sons if father not here.

i know this way,after A is asked ,it is confirmed that it is black or white for A,after B is asked ,it is confirmed that it is black or white for B,and there only two white hats,so C know that it is black for himself.
