Molly: In your dreams.

Gordon: What are you going as?

Molly: I will be a green-faced Frankenstein.

Molly: You drank real blood?

Gordon: No way, it was just red juice, but we called it blood because it was Halloween night. How about your evening?

Molly: I met a handsome werewolf. But I had to say good bye to him.

Gordon: Really, why did you get rid of him?

Molly: I saw him today and he still looked like a werewolf.

Gordon: Now that is scary!!!!!

Taking Undergraduate College Entrance Exams

In the U.S. there are 2 basic college entrance exams. Some schools prefer one over the other, but most schools will accept either one. Differences do exist between the tests, but they both are very similar.

1) ACT: This test has several sections. It tests your understanding of logic, grammar, reading, and math.

2) SAT: This test has 2 parts: Math and English. This test is similar to the GRE except it is easier. Both of these tests only test basic skills. They focus on asking simple questions in confusing ways. They test people's ability to take tests more than their knowledge. However, in the U.S. the entrance exam is only a small part in the application process. Colleges consider many other things. Even if don't

do well on the exam, you can still get into an average college.

Diologue 对话

Talking about a College Entrance Exam

Molly : Hey, Gordon. I heard that you just took the SAT. How did it go?

Gordon: Not as well as I hoped. I don't think I'll get the score I was hoping for.

Molly : Don't get too worked up. It's not the end of the world. The exam isn't everything.

Gordon: I know, but I was hoping I could ace this test. Now, I'll just be happy if I do Ok.

Molly : You're over exaggerating. I'm sure you did fine. You can still go to a good school, even if you didn't do that great.

Gordon: I hope you are right. Otherwise, I'll just marry you and live off your job.

Molly : In your dreams. There is no way I am making you my househusband. I'm still waiting for Brad.

Gordon: You don't know what you are missing. Well, I'll be waiting for you to call.

Molly : Don't wait too long.
