The assistant who served her did not like the way （） she was dressed. 这个空格里到底填什么？为什么？

in which /that/ 不填 “she was dressed”在这里是定语从句，修饰 “the way”。“the way”在这个从句里作方式状语。根据定语从句的句法规则，in which引导定语从句作方式状语时，in which也可使用that代替，或者省略引导词。

way 这个词的定语从句有点特殊。两种填法。其一，不填，仿照例句，he walks the way his father does.(他和他父亲走路的方式一样）do you like the way she speaks?(你喜欢他说话的方式吗？）

其二，填in which。
