From Aug 17th - 20th, all Beijing people are following the government's requirement for traffice control. On a singular date, only those which have singular numbers on their car number plates can run on the road of Beijing, and same principle for the plural dates.

The Beijing government will take the great chance to examine the air pollution situation in Beijing, which is of course for all reasons of 2008 Olympic Games.

If you dare not to follow this temporary regulation, you'll luckily get a 200 RMB ticket from the nice handsome traffic policemen and 3 points offyour total 12 points driving credit each year.

Guess what? My car is singular numbered. I can drive around Beijing city to show off today, haha...!

Really? We should prepare two number plates,one for single day and another for the next day.

If I have these two, I won't need to pay attention to the rules:

1.Taxi

2.Bus

Hoho...

Another one is 单位班车 who don't care their numbers are single or not.

By the way, controlled by the new temporary rule, the traffic is not so heavy like before.

MY OPPONION, WE SHOULD LEARN STH FROM HOLLAND,THOUGH THE PEOPLE IN HOLLAND ARE RICH, BUT MANY OF THEM HAVE THEIR BIKES. I AM APPEALING: more private bicycles, less air pollution!!!!!!!

Netherlands is a small country while Beijing is a big city. All people around me agree that without a car, going around Beijing would be very difficult and inconvenient. So bikes are not a good choice for everyone here. An efficient public transportation is a final solution.

I've been to London and its subway system is what you can't imagine. It takes you to every place you want to go. And same as it is in Germany.

It's much more convenient than before whenthe 5# Subway is vailable . And it's wellknown that 6 more subways will be build in the future.[1_28]

Good start! Just hope our population could be maintained at a certain level. Otherwise we have no ways to solve the over-crowded problem.
