Pacers Dealing With Injuries To O’Neal, Murphy
In THE INDIANAPOLIS STAR, MikeWells writes “the injuries are starting to mount this preseason for theIndiana Pacers. Forward Jermaine O'Neal and center Troy Murphy are thelatest players sidelined, causing them to miss Friday night's preseasongame against the Minnesota Timberwolves at Conseco Fieldhouse. Murphy'sinjury -- a strained left Achilles tendon -- is more severe. Pacerscoach Jim O'Brien said his starting center will be out 10 to 14 days,meaning he could miss the regular-season opener against the WashingtonWizards on Oct. 31.” |
