ORLANDO, Fla., Oct. 25 (AP) -- Rashard Lewisscored 16 points in his first preseason game in three weeks, liftingthe Orlando Magic over the San Antonio Spurs 99-90 Thursday night.

Itwas the last chance for Lewis and the rest of the Magic lineup to findrhythm before starting the regular season Wednesday against Milwaukee.The All-Star forward played 24 minutes, just shy of the 30 minutes inhis only two preseason games before getting hurt.

Both teams played their best rotations, though Lewis and Dwight Howard sat out the fourth quarter. So did Tim Duncan, but Spurs coach Gregg Popovich kept playing Tony Parker, Michael Finley, Manu Ginobili and Brent Barry well into the final period.

Ginobiliscored 21, while Parker had 18 points and eight assists and Duncanfinished with 10 points and seven rebounds on 4-for-14 shooting.

Carlos Arroyo scored 16, Hedo Turkoglu had 13 points and Howard added 11 points and 13 rebounds. Keith Bogans scored 11 on 4-for-5 shooting.

TheMagic won their last six preseason games to finish 6-1, an impressivebut meaningless pace because so many teams rested key players.

San Antonio has one more preseason game Friday against Houston before opening the regular season Tuesday hosting Portland.

Francisco Elsonhad five points in a seven-point San Antonio run for a 31-22 lead lessthan two minutes into the second quarter. Orlando quickly whittled itto two points, then took a 48-47 halftime lead after scoring six in thefinal minute of the first half. Arroyo had four points on consecutivepossessions with a 15-foot jumper and an acrobatic layup in traffic.

TheMagic opened the third quarter with a 12-4 run, but fell behind 62-61after more than 3 1/2 scoreless minutes.

Lewis broke the drought with ajumper and 3-pointer within 27 seconds that started a 13-6 run.

Arroyo scored eight fourth-quarter points, and Orlando led by 13 in the final period.

Notes: The Magic are sure that Tony Battie will miss the entire season. The forward underwent surgery for a partially torn rotator cuff Wednesday. ... Trevor Ariza played his first game since Oct. 10 (tendinitis), but J.J. Redick sat out (bruised right hand). ... The Spurs were missing Jacque Vaughn (right calf) and Beno Udrih (broken finger).
