Angola is a beautiful, rich yet calamitous country. Prior to its independence in 1975, Angola once suffered from the colonial domination for more than 500 years. However, Angola slumped into the prolonged civil war immediately following its independence. On April 4, 2002, the Angolan Government and UNITA signed the ceasefire agreement to terminate the civil war that had lasted for 27 years. The proloned civil war has seriously affected the economic development in Angola, which makes it become one of the least developed countries in the world. However, under the leadership of President Jose Eduardo Dos Santos, Angola witnessed a fast economic growth after the civil war, and has become one of the countries with the fastest economic growth in the world. In 2006, the economic growth rate in Angola was 18.6%.
To adapt to the new situation, Angola Government has always been dedicating to the optmization of its laws for the purpose of attracting both local and foreign private investors. On April 1, 2003, Angola Government passed a series of laws represented by the private investment law as well as the favorable policy on revenue and tariff on private investment.
As declared by Department of Industry of Angola, Angola will extensively implement the new strategy on the revitalization of its industry in numerous domains. This strategy will focus on 4 aspects by giving priority to the restoration of steel and iron smelting.
Angola Government promises to safguard the lawful rights of each investor, including the industrial property rights and intellectual creation rights within the coverage of laws in force as well as right to ownership of land and other resources.

安哥拉工业部宣布，在更加广泛的诸多领域内，实施安哥拉重新工业化的新战略。该战略从4个方面加以实施，特别强调允许恢复钢铁的冶炼。
安哥拉政府向一切投资者保证，为了维护他们的权利，在现行法律的范围内，享有工业财产权和知识创造权，以及严格地保证他们取得的土地所有权及他们掌握的其它资源的权利。
