Depression is difficult enough to treat on its own, but it can be even more challenging when it occurs

alongside other chronic illnesses. A new study found that a team-based approach involving a dedicated

nurse to help patients manage their depression and coexisting conditions such as diabetes or heart

disease led to improvement of all symptoms.
