中华人民共和国钓鱼岛及其附属岛屿的领海基线公布，中国有关部门将对钓鱼岛及其附属岛屿开展常态化监视监测。

中国政府对日本政府“购买”钓鱼岛的决定做出了坚决的回应，于周一公布了钓鱼岛及其附属岛屿的领海基点和基线。

Territorial coordinates指“领土坐标”，是由base points（基点）连成的baselines（基线）组成的，能精确标示国家边境。“领海基线”就是territorial sea baseline。

中华人民共和国领海基线采用直线基线法划定，由各相邻基点之间的直线连线组成。基线里面向陆地一侧的水域就是内水（internal waters），向海的一侧首先是领海（territorial waters），后面还会有专属经济区（Exclusive Economic Zone）和大陆架（the Continental Shelf）等各种管辖海域。

同时，中国政府还宣布将对钓鱼岛及其附属岛屿开展normalized surveillance and monitoring（常态化监视监测）。
