These days you better know for sure what you're buying, because knock-offs are more prevalent than ever.

山寨盛行的今天，买东西可要当心。李鬼可能比李逵还像李逵。

When you can recognize what the street vendor is selling is not authentic, you can walk away or go ahead and make the purchase. Replicas aren't always a bad thing, so long as you know you may get what you pay for.

如果能分辨出街头小贩兜售的不是原装货的话，你大可走开或径直去买真货。不过，山寨自有其吸引之处，只要你自己心里清楚要的到底是什么。

In fact, some of these replicas are pretty sophisticated -- it helps that China produces half of the world's manufactured goods in the first place. For brands including Apple, Trojan and Google this represents a not-insignificant threat to sales.
