今天要介绍的歌曲KISS FROM A ROSE(《玫瑰之吻》)来自英国歌手Seal Henry Samuel。1963年2月19日出生在英国伦敦，他是一名混血儿，父母分别是尼日利亚人和巴西人。自上世纪90年代以来，Seal一直都是英国最受欢迎的男歌手之一，90年代中期以后，他把灵魂乐，民谣，摇滚，舞曲等不同的风格融入到自己的音乐中去，自成一派，使他不仅在英国保持了强大的号召力，而且还逐步赢得了美国音乐界的认可。“Seal”在1994年的第二张专辑继续以其名字命名，称作《Seal(1994)》。这是他最为成功的专辑，其中的单曲也就是我们今天要介绍的歌曲《Kiss From a Rose》不仅入选了电影《永远的蝙蝠侠(Batman Forever)》的原声大碟，更重要的是为他在1995年度第38届格莱美奖中赢得了年度最佳唱片(Record Of The Year)，年度最佳歌曲(Song Of The Year)，最佳流行男歌手(Best Male Pop Vocal Performance)三尊分量十足的奖杯。而这张专辑也一直是热销的多白金专辑。

1.There used to be a greying tower alone on the sea 海上曾经孤立着一座灰塔。

used to do sth:（过去持续或者常常发生的事情）曾经的意思，否定形式是didn't use to或者used not to。

I used to live in London.我曾经住在伦敦。

I didn't use to like him much when we were at school.上学的时候我不太喜欢他。

used to do sth与be used to sth/doing sth的区别:used to do sth 是情态动词词组，表示曾经；而used to sth/doing sth的意思是习惯于某事物或者习惯于做某事，一般与系动词连用。
