1. 表示“情报”“消息”“资料”等，是不可数名词；表示关于某人或某物的情报、消息或资料等，根据情况可选用介词 on 或about。如：

He has inside information about the talks. 他有关于这次会谈的内部情报。

2. 用于 for your information, 表示告诉对方某一情况或某一事实，尤其用于告诉对方认识有误的事实，有时具有反语意味。如：

For your information, the library is on the second floor. 谨奉告，图书馆在二楼。

I’m perfectly able to look after myself, for your information. 告诉你吧，我完全能自己照顾自己。
