Many trips and hotel bookings are purchased through travel websites such as 'Expedia.com', 'agoda.com' and 'tripadvisor.com'. Make sure to look up the sites for the best deal.

Remember to check their cancellation policy if you book a hotel on a commercial website.You need to make sure you will not be charged any fees if you have to cancel the hotel.

Here are some typical phrases and expressions to use when a guest makes a booking to stay at your hotel.

R: Great. Now I'll need your credit card information to reserve the room(保留房间) for you. What type of card is it?

C: Visa. The number is 987654321.

R: And what is the name of the cardholder(持卡人)?

C: Charles H. Hannighan.

R: Alright, Mr. Hannighan, your reservation has been made for(已经被确认) the twenty-fourth of September for a room with a double bed and view of the ocean. Check-in is at 2 o'clock. If you have any other questions, please do not hesitate to call us.

C: Great, thank you so much.

R: My pleasure. We'll see you in September, Mr. Hannighan. Have a nice day.
