Last September, some 800 runners from more than 20 countries climbed the 82-story China World Summit Wing in Beijing's CBD area as part of the 2015 Vertical World Circuit.

Vertical run, a fun challenge, is back and online registrations have just started.

Participants will begin at the tower's ground floor lobby and ascend 82 floors by staircase to the helipad on the rooftop. Assume you can finish the 2,041 steps and 330 meters and recover your breath, you will see some stunning views of Beijing's skyline.

去年九月份，来自20多个国家接近800名运动员攀登了北京中心商业区82层的北京国贸大酒店，这是2015年世界垂直马拉松巡回赛的一部分。

现在，这个有趣的垂直跑挑战又来了，网上注册刚刚开始。

参赛者将会从地面的大厅出发，通过楼梯攀登82层到达屋顶的直升飞机机场。假设你能完成2041个台阶，330米的高度，并恢复呼吸，你能欣赏到北京摄人心魄的空中轮廓线风景。

文中的vertical run就是“垂直跑”的意思，其中vertical用作形容词，意为“垂直的；纵向的”，如：The northern face of the mountain is almost vertical.（这座山向北的一面几乎是垂直的。）
